Dichotomies are the essence of life which often allow us to see things for what they are. Pairing peace with energy, Christina creates a dynamic room using something old, telling the stories of lives lived before, offset with the fresh clean spirit of something new. Homes and environments affect our inner nature, mental state, ability to reach outside of ourselves and also to center into our personal strength. By finding a style that helps her clients feel positive and at ease, Christina designs rooms to fit her client's lifestyle and personality.
By layering textures and colors the room that results has depth, warmth, comfort, and richness. The integration of nature is made by bringing in plants, wood, metal, water or reflections of the outside world inside; allowing for the calm felt in nature, especially necessary for those who live in urban settings.
It is important to create an interior that easily transitions between living a full and busy life to having a place of sanctuary. Christina works within the lifestyle of her clients to create a space for daily life, partnering with her clients to make functional, beautiful and tranquil spaces.
In Home Meetings: In home meetings to discuss ideas for placement, paint colors and furniture choices at $200 per hour. This involves helping the client understand the flow of the home, where to place artwork, and guidance for color palettes. This may include working with existing furnishings and assisting in finding pieces. These meetings are especially helpful for a client with antiques or special pieces of art which need to be showcased. Often clients have everything they need and simply need a designer's eye to make their home look stylish and cohesive.
Designer Sourcing: Independent sourcing of fabrics, furniture and home accessories at $75 per hour. Research is done for each room to find furniture, fabric, lighting and artwork to pull the room together and bring out the client's personality in a stunning way. Results are emailed to the client and advice given as to what the designer thinks would be ideal for their room.
Client/Designer Sourcing: A client may find it more helpful to meet with Christina for the same sourcing as mentioned above at $125 per hour. These meetings may include visiting stores, meeting with upholsterers and artists, looking at fabrics or finding accessories for the home. This is helpful to get an understanding of a client's tastes and personality and may help the client get ideas for other areas of the house.
